Andrea was born and raised in a small town close to Padua (Italy) in August 1988. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Padua. He decided to pursue his career achieving a Master's Degree with Honours in Industrial Biotechnology in 2012. During his Master’s degree he joined the Zooprofilactic Experimental Institute (IZS) working for his thesis on bioinformatics approaches for the investigation of H5N1 influenza virus. After graduation in 2013, he moved to Dublin and in the same year he took part to a bioinformatics and protein modelling training at SIB in Lausanne (Switzerland). In 2014 he joined the Bradley group to work on the development of 3D printing strategies applied to polymers and their biomedical applications.
In his spare time he enjoys practising many sports, above all volleyball and freeletics. He also relaxes watching movies and TV series, socialising with friends and doing graphics design.
