Sara was born and raised in Malmö, a town in the south of Sweden. During secondary school she spent a year as an exchange student at Hawley High School in Minnesota, USA. After graduating from school in Sweden, she moved to Scotland to complete a Master in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. During this time she was fortunate enough to spend a year working as a medicinal chemist for GlaxoSmithKline in Philadelphia. Upon graduating with her master’s degree in spring 2014 she joined the Bradley research group for her PhD in October later that year. Her project focuses on the development of 3D polymer microarrays for biomedical applications and is funded by the ERC.
In her spare time Sara enjoys practising yoga, reading, knitting and is a devoted fan of her local football team Malmö FF.
