Kevin was born in Bremen (Germany) in 1989. After High School he decided to absolve a national (civil) service in Australia from 2008 to 2009 where he worked at a High School as a class assistant in science and outdoor education. After being back in Germany he started studying chemistry in Stuttgart where he completed his Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 2012. In the same year he started his Masters where he specialized on advanced synthesis and biological chemistry. During his Masters he decided to absolve an industrial internship at DSM Ahead in the Netherlands in 2013. During this internship he focused on the synthesis and characterization of polymers for biomedical application. In Germany he completed his Master of Science in chemistry in 2014 after writing his master thesis in the research group of Prof Richert on chemical primer extension. In 2015 he joined the research group of Prof Bradley where he works on smart polymers for medical application.
Besides chemistry Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors doing a lot of running. He also goes as often as possible in the mountains to do hiking and mountaineering. This interest is matching to his travelling which he also enjoys a lot.
