Weixia Zhu was born in Henan Province from China in 1986 and got her Ph.D. degree in 2014 from Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Hang Song, with the thesis entitled “Study on the preparation and performance of anion-adsorption hydrogels”. Afterwards, she worked in School of Chemical Engineering, Zhengzhou University. Her research components include porous cellulose and hydrogels, metal ions and dyes adsorption, separation, and catalyst. Her project “Preparation of temperature control W/Mo compound catalyst and study about its key problem in the epoxidation” was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She joined the Bradley group in November 2021 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow funded by the China Scholarship Council. She is presently working on the preparation and application of functional biomaterials.
